Teacher Candidates complete Practicum One in a Laurier Partner School over five weeks in the first term of Year One. The Practicum One block is divided into two parts: a two-week block in mid-term and a three-week block at the end of the term. During the first two weeks of Practicum One, Teacher Candidates will observe, reflect, and assist the associate teacher in a variety of ways. Under the supervision of the associate teacher, Teacher Candidates assume responsibility for teaching 25% of the associate teacher’s instructional time from the midpoint to the end of the three-week block. Prerequisites: Registration Status: BEd Program.
